Why do all the rural residents of Eastern WA want to divide the state into their own separate state of "East Washington"?
|
Our plan, supported by our District Reps, and Senator, is to help people's businesses and incomes become stable through dividing the state and electing our own state government that can effectively increase our advantages in an Ag, logging and mining based economy. The west side of the state can manage their own urban affairs and we can then better manage our rural affairs and improve them! We view this as a "Win-Win" scenario, when both sides can more effectively address the needs of their constituents!
The idea of dividing the state is not new. However, it has never been such a dire situation for people living in eastern WA, as they are watching livestock farms collapse left and right as a result of the west side's illogical over- regulation. Logging and mining are taking huge hits right now also, thanks to Sustainable Development/Agenda 21 policies allowed into our area from the UN. Gov. Gregoire has also INCREASED the budget for the Dept of Ecology, which has enabled them to harass local rural businesses and livestock operations to the point of shutting them down altogether.
This site is currently under construction. We will be happy to post your input and comments so long as they do not contain any profanity or indecent references. We can post comments and welcome participation and promotion of this process. We are currently awaiting Rep. Shea and Rep. Short's endeavor to nullify Gov. Gregoire's Cap and Trade agenda, as well as the health care reform she plans to put in place. They are busy at work on this project of nullification in the Legislature. We whole-heartedly support their efforts to reign in the "out of control" and completely lost agenda for this state, and if their efforts fall short, we plan to push full steam ahead into the legal and civil process of dividing this state, accompanied by the Reps and Senators and Congressmen from the east side. The dividing line we are drawing between the east and the west sides, occurs where the Cascades hit the valleys and follow the line both north and south. Let the west side manage their own mountain roads and passes. We are all looking forward to dividing the state and ending the incredulous gas tax, over-regulation of our businesses, absence of representation in all votes, and the extreme liberal policies of Gov. Gregoire. The residents of eastern WA, are in essence, saying that we are more than fed up, and we will not stand for it any longer. From what we can see from the west side's ongoing increase in regulations on a daily basis, it only stands to get worse from here if we don't act now. So please help spread the word about this effort, as we'll need massive support from every person on the east side to finalize this "divorce" we have started! Thank you for your support, and keep checking back as we will be adding new polls, surveys, commentary sections, and articles.
